As I understand it, the 10GB option won't impact the Mini's thermals to any appreciable degree. It's not the kind of part that will suck more juice and have to dissipate more heat just because the throughput is faster. It does use faster clock(s), but I think it's a case of much higher precision signals than even RAM or NAND flash where more = more physical chips = needs more juice, and that the transistor count involved is super tiny compared to the CPU.
