So I have the note 2 and really like it, but I would like another phone to go along side it. I thought about the nexus 4 and still am, but I have owned a blackberry before and liked it. Thought it would be a good back up phone. Something good to play around with. I want to get the blackberry bold 9900 for att. Anybody have any thoughts? Anyone owned this phone? I know it will not live up to the iphone or any Android's, but I think it would be an alright phone to have.

a better place
I've had a blackberry bold 9900.

As a phone its excellent, best call quality of any phone I've had and best reception too. Every phone I've had in the last 24 months (about 8 phones) has dropped calls here in certain 'black spots' near me locally. Yet the Bold 9900 never did.

Great little keyboard but took me longer to get used to it than I thought (especially numbers input)

Software BB7 is a little archaic and it doesn't have best selection of apps to compare with other smartphones, and the camera has no manual focus.... And if you thought the iPhones 3.5" screen is small then 2.8" will be very small to you (especially coming from a 5.5" note 2)

But yeah nice handset. But if I was going down that route at this stage i'd wait for the Q10.

Yea I was going to try and save some money. I am not up for an upgrade so I would have to play full price. The Q10 I am sure off contract would be something like $600. I figured the software would be outdated which is fine since I plan on keeping the note 2 as my main phone. I just want to try something different. I liked the blackberry I had before a long time ago. I don't think the small screen will be too much of a problem because the only I did not like the iphone screen is because I had to type on it.
