Hi all,

I have already got the iPad 2018 Pro and MacBook Pro 13” Early 2015, when away from home the majority of my photo editing is done between the MacBook Pro & iPad Pro, depending on what it is I am editing. Now that the year is gradually coming to an end, I am thinking about a desktop based computer for intense editing at home, especially as I have a lot of photography projects near enough set in stone next year, which will of course depend on the ongoing pandemic.

Anyhow so many people in photography recommend the iMac for things like Lightroom & Photoshop but very few state which mode. I know that Apple are going to be releasing the Silicon Arm iMacs in the coming months and that the Intel ones are likely to drop in price. Question is, what models are most advisable to look at ?. I also have the Apple Pencil 2 & so Sidecar May come in handy in some cases. I also may even look into video editing if at all possible but that isn’t a guarante.

Could anyone please advise on what would be a good starting point to look at, had it been a Windows based machine, I am confident enough to build and upgrade them myself, but with the iMacs I would need one with say a 1tb already installed, as I am not confident enough in removing the screen & replacing the strips etc.

Many thanks
