Well im thinking about getting a laptop and I have some questions. Is the 1000 dollar model worth it since it doesnt have the 2.16 proc instead of the 2.0 also can you upgrade to a superdrive for not 300 dollars. Also I want to upgrade the ram to 3 gigs and is the biggest hdd i can get 250 gigs I saw one on newegg.

Also can a macbook run say battlefield or css in windows cause i will put vista ultimate on it.

2.0 is fine for the price.
Superdrive is only upgradeable from the Applestore. Or do it yourself which is kinda hard.
3gigs of RAM on an MB? Can it take that much? If it can buy it from a 3rd party.
Not sure about the games stuff.

Don't install Vista, install XP. Vista is slow and overall a mess of dung. I'm typing this on Vista Business and I really really loathe it.

Yeah it can recognize 3.3 gigs of ram.

I dont think spending 300 is worth a superdrive and like 60 gigs of hdd. when im gonna upgrade the hdd and ram anyway.

I'm getting the black macbook next month! I can't wait! I'm switching from my parents dell(i'm only 16) to a macbook! I love macs I use them in school!

Games are gonna be bad because of the integrated video card, eh?

The MB is not a gamers system. But it really depends on the games you want to play. For example i have no problem playing Warcraft 3, WoW, The Sims2, Doom3+Quake4 on XP, on my old first gen 1.83 Macbook with 1 gig of ram. The games are far from being bad/ugly/unplayable.

I personally don't think it is worth it, the 2.0ghz can't read\rip\burn DVD's (well, it at least can not burn them)
I am not sure about the superdrive
MacBooks can hold up to 3gb memory, but I would say get 2gb,
I believe you can
No... the best game the MacBook can run is probably Halo, MAYBE World of Warcraft
