I am thinking of buying a new Macbook pro. I am going to use it mainly for music production but also for video editing and the occasional World of Warcraft playing. So supposedly the keyboard has been fixed on this new rendition of the macbook pro 2019. Do i buy one now or wait for the next 16". Other than the keyboard do you think they are really going to change things enough for me to wait? Do you think its coming out next month or next year? I am torn..

If you can wait a few more months,
and
If you can afford it (it's going to be expensive),
then
I'd sit tight and wait for the upcoming 16" MBP.

For the keyboard, as much as anything else.

Do you need a tiny bit more space when working with your timelines?
If yes then wait.

Rule #1: Always wait three months after making the purchasing decision to buy a new Mac.

Rule 2: When three months have passed, go back to rule 1.

lol, wait 3.. So i don't care about the extra space, i have a 34 inch monitor i will hook it up to while in the house. I am not sure i want to pay more for the macbook than they already cost. I guess i just answered my own question. If the keyboard is fixed now with the latest version i will probably just buy that. Now the other question.. is 16 gigs of ram enough for video and audio?

Rumours look to be reasonably solid for a new 16" MBP, personally I'll wait and see as our need is not urgent, thx to Apple. A new design may offer greater thermal headroom which is significant for those that need to push the i9 processor and a keyboard that's back in the reliability game.

The 2019 MBP is decent for most, equally Apple is leaving a lot of performance on the table for the sake of the aesthetic. All notebooks are compromised by their very nature, that said there's a balance that Apple has drifted away from. Professional biased system's should offer greater flexibility and usability, not less lest the spec's be little more than sales & marketing gimmicks.

As for the pricing; if the value exists individuals and companies will have no issue, which is the biggest hurdle with the 2016 design as it plays more to the casual user than the professional with heavy demands. Apple can deliver, if it choses, time will tell...

TLDR basic use pick up a 2019

As you said, the form factor a laptop will always come with limitations and compromises. I don't think the 16" is going to make any significant differences to that.

I don't have high hopes for the 16" personally given the fact that we should be given better laptops at current price points I feel.

If you don't need it right now I would wait for the new MBP with ICE LAKE or COMET LAKE chips + new keyboard.

I sold my MBA 2018 just a month ago because keyboard is just not good enough for me, however I didn'thave any stuck key, etc.

Ice Lake/comet lake refresh should be a good upgrade in terms of graphic performace but most important new keyboard redesign. Apple has been using same design since 2016 and they usually change it every 4-5 years so buying an end of product life is not a good choice unless it's a real bargain.

But again this is just my case because at the moment I can get by with my Ryzen PC + Ipad. I will get the new MBA or MBP when they are released.

By the way new suitable Y processors for MBA have 4 cores instead of 2 cores in the current version.
