It looks like you have about 5 GB of available RAM, so I doubt increasing will make any difference. Although the Activity Monitor says you only have a little memory free, the Inactive memory is essentially available as free memory when needed. I really dont know whats eating up all my RAM and storing it in inactive. I do have VMware fusion open running windows xp with 2GB of RAM allocated to it but other than that I dont know where the other 2.48GB is being stored in inactive to be used in.
What is your uptime? That is a lot of page outs. If it is over the period of a month, maybe not such a big deal. If it is just a day or two I would be concerned. Agreed with another post, sort by real memory.

I'd have to say the last time I restarted my machine was about 2 weeks. I use it for just about everything. Running Plex to my HDTV to watch movies and TV Shows, have dual monitors connected to it constantly with safari and firefox opened all the time and running vmware fusion for windows xp for small programs for some coding and visual studios 2008 type stuff. Other little apps that are running 24/7 is mail, iCal and word and powerpoint with iTunes off and on.
