I recently received a pretty generous (~500$) Apple gift card and am thinking of how to use it.

My initial plan was to upgrade my iPhone 15 Pro Max to an iPhone 16 Pro (I don't care about the phone size), which would cost me 0$ with the trade-in option.

However I studied alternatives and I could instead:
- Upgrade my Apple Watch Series 7 to a Series 10 (with trade-in); I would only need to pay ~126$ to get the titanium version
- Upgrade my M1 iPad Pro (11") to the latest M4+OLED iPad Pro (with trade-in, 11", or 13" but I'd pay ~300$)
- Upgrade to an Apple Watch Ultra 2 for 236$ (with trade-in of my series 7), but I think I'd rather wait for an hopefully lighter Ultra 3

Any thoughts / advice?

I don’t see how we can even start to help you. It’s your money. Your decision. When people come on this thread, they’ll give you everything under the sun as to what they would do, not you. So suck it up and make your own decision. I can’t understand why people post on Mac rumors to ask such questions of strangers when it’s not their money And we don’t know your situation.

Perhaps I should have phrased my question differently.
It’s not so much about the price, but rather what one would perceive as the best relative improvement given the current Apple products I own and candidate purchases.
But if asking for people’s opinion related to Apple products is not what this forum is about then my bad.

Which of those products do you use most? And which of them do you feel would benefit most from an upgrade for your personal uses? That's the criteria I use to determine which option I'd choose, or how to prioritize them.

From what you have listed there, if it was my choice I'd be upgrading the Apple Watch first. I'd go with the Ultra 2 for the increased battery life, better durability (sapphire screen), and the features gained through updating. 15 PM to 16 PM isn't a huge upgrade unless there's some feature you really want/need. I don't use my iPad that much and my current (ancient) model serves my purposes fine, so it would be at the bottom of the barrel. But if I relied heavily upon my iPad as my main computing device and used it a lot, maybe it would move higher up the totem pole.
