Trust me it looks better in person.
This briefcase is incredible. It is going to be my favorite EDC for my iPad Pro w/Apple's Smart Cover Keyboard. I've been using a Waterfield Designs 13" Bolt Briefcase the last 2 weeks for the iPP. That canvas and leather briefcase is very high quality. But it is a little overkill when taking my iPP to the coffee shop or sandwich shop. I think I am really going to like it over a sleeve for going to meetings.
The 2nd Brain is lighter, and smaller than the beautiful Bolt, and has more internal pockets. Frankly it allows me to better organize my stuff for quicker retrieval. The see through/mesh pockets are great! The exterior pockets are handy. , The exterior phone compartment even takes my iPhone 6+ (encased with a larger Sena phone/wallet ) with no trouble at all. It is located right where you want it. Near the top of the case's handles. It even has a roller bag handle pass through. It also has two zippers side pockets that are perfect for a water bottle or sunglass case.
I will no longer need to be shifting things from bag to bag or sleeve to bag, and the size of the 2nd Brain is good enough for most of my daily usage.
I can't wait to take this bag to my upcoming trips to Vancouver and San Francisco! I won't get the evil eye from flight attendants even if I have another carryon
I like the non-slip shoulder strap, and the rain cover gives me great confidence that my iPP is going to stay dry during torrential downpours. The bag itself is water resistant. But I've used the auxiliary rain cover on ThinkTank camera bags and they increase water resistance beyond the water proofing treatment on the bare bag.
Note, I am a fan of ThinkTank camera bag and backpack products. They are well thought out, and have high quality material and hardware. The pricing is very reasonable IMHO. Just watch me slip my Ricoh GR camera and flash into this thing for street photography
This bag is not exactly as "sexy" as my Waterfield Design Bolt. It is very low key in black. I actually wish the hardware was black too (not silver), so I could maintain an even lower profile. Pure leather/canvas with shiny hardware simply gets eyeballed by strangers too much.
And yes I purchased this, and I have no ties to ThinkTank.
