My first gen Airpods barely last an hour anymore. The $120 price we can get those for isn't terrible, but now that Amazon and Best Buy carry $30-$50 truly wireless earbuds, does anyone have experience with these and know how they perform in sound quality, battery life, connectivity, and microphone quality?

Thanks!

For the price point, I am quite impressed by the Taotronics models. I have the SoundLiberty 77 as a backup for my APPs, and they are quite good. A co-worker recently got the SoundLiberty 79, and he loves them.

Thanks for the reply. How do they compare to Airpods?

How do they compare to something 3 times the price? Honestly I think that is the wrong question. These are high quality bluetooth ear buds that exceed their price point in value.

I understand your point - so are Airpods just better in everyway pretty much? Who would you recommend Airpods for versus who you would recommend budget options for? What do you miss most about Airpods when you are using the budget options?

The ability to easily move between devices with the same pair of AirPods is one of the things I love about AirPods. Also the case is really small. But the battery life on the Taotronics is better. And they stay in my ears perfectly. And I can control volume with them, which I can't do with my AirPods. And at $50 (or less when they have regular coupons on Amazon), I don't ever worry about losing them. If you've got money to burn, I would never try to convince someone not to buy AirPods. But if you're looking to spend $50, these are easily worth that price.
