iPad mini Third Party App Data Loss

Hello,

I am in need of urgent assistance please.

I have an ipad mini2 on ios 11.3.1.

I use a Third Party Application for work, however, today this app crashed and restarted only to find all the data which had been inputted using the applications data capture has gone.

Is there any way to retrieve such data from a third party application which appears to have been lost?

I have closed the app, relogged in, restarted my ipad, but nothing has came back. Its as if the applicaiton is brand new installed.

Any help would be amazingly appreciated, as this data loss is considered very costly at the moment.

Two suggestions:

1. Try to restore from a prior backup if any and,
2. Maybe contact the app developer for support.

Nothing more valuable than a good backup on a regular basis.

Thank you for your replies.

Unfortunately there is no back ups relating to this period.

In regards to back ups - are there any good apps which will daily back up this third party app data?

Also does the ipad not hold any data in the background from it?
