Rather than make a list for apps that work, why not make a list of apps that don't work?

99.99% of all Mac apps are going to work with Yosemite anyways. It's going toe be more helpful to have a "not compatible" list.

smcFanControl DOES NOT work correctly, at least on my machine. If you try to delete a custom control you made it makes it crash, also I cannot even get the RPM's to show up in preferences to adjust them.

The only thing that works is just the default stuff...so default fan speed, and higher fan speed. You can also change the other settings.

So it "half-works."

Tried restarting after install, no luck with that. Hope the developer updates that ASAP, or is there a good free or relatively cheap alternative to smcFanControl that is ready for Yosemite? Thanks for any recommendations!

If you need a Third-Party App to keep your Mac from freezing, then something is wrong with you Mac.

I was worried the first night about my Mac getting so hot, but then I realized it was most likely because Spotlight was indexing, because now my Mac is running cool and quiet.

I have no clue what TeamViewer is, so whoever asked if it works, I cannot answer that for you. Sorry. A quick Google search should give you the answer.

Is TeamViewer working with Yosemite?

It might work, however, I checked their website and they have NOT updated TeamViewer for Yosemite. In fact they still tout how their current version is for Mavericks.

Yes I know the vga is dying or something since the mac freeze or start showing graphic artifacts, if I'm playing the music it just keep going but the desktop is frozen. With a third party app that let me change fan speed the freezes are way reduced.
I found out Macs Fan Control and works fine on yosemite, the only issue is the menubar icon not updated for the dark mode.
