Do people think that 3rd parties will have bands available like third party cases? This would be huge with apples limited band options and high prices.

Yes, and we'll see as much variety as we see iPhone cases. Apple's plastic band will not crack, so it's worth the money, but we should see nice stainless and leather (real and fake) for under what Apple sells for.

I've had a Seiko dive watch plastic band break every couple of years. Apple's is more durable, that material is used in a variety of industrial applications.

As others have said. They'll be the same as cases for iPhones. They'll be hundreds upon hundreds to choose from so I expect to see the first wave a couple fo weeks after release of 3rd party bands.

Maybe premium third-party bands made by Hollows Leather or even competing watch makers.

All we need is a third party connector piece that slides into the Watch, like the Standap, allowing regular bands with spring bars. That's what I'm waiting for.

Probably not official "Made for Apple Watch" ones. Maybe illegal Chinese knock-offs if eBay doesn't shut them down. The way Apple has priced the metal ones (and limited some to certain sizes) there could be a huge market here. But certainly Apple is going to milk this cow for awhile.

Apple's band lengths also max out at 210mm (some much smaller). I need a min of 280mm, so I can't even use it until Apple releases additional sizes, or 3rd party bands or a universal adaptor to fit standard bands is released.

I suspect we are not only going to see third party bands. I predict we will see companies offering real 18K gold upgrades for the sports and Steel versions.
