I haven’t hit the update button yet but now that iTunes is gone, is it still possible to download songs from a third party website like Iomoio and drop them into the Apple Music app like you could with iTunes? Thanks.

Also does Catalina improve battery life? It’s atrocious on my MacBook Pro 15” 2018. More of a question for the beta testers I suppose.

Yes, you can still drag and drop songs into the new music.app.
You can also still rip music from CDs.

Awesome, thanks! Was hoping that was possible with iOS and iPadOS but I tried and no dice. At least this still works.

Plus if you don't like it, you can manually download iTunes from Apple's website. It will still work on macOS Catalina.

No kidding. Didn’t know that and thanks for the heads up. I’m relatively new to Macs...
