I've been thinking of getting a third-party SS watch band for my 42 mm SS Apple Watch. I'm puzzled by the huge price difference, ranging from $16.99 to over $200 for those offered. Many purport to be 3161 stainless steel, and most of the pictures look identical. They all are made in China. I wonder if the offerings are all the same band, only at different prices. Has anyone bought one of these bands or can recommend any of them?

Do you need adapters for these third-party bands, or do they slide on and off just as the Apple bands do?

I see so many ebay sellers with Milinese loops - what should I look out for?

Well, after looking at all the third-party offers and getting thoroughly mixed up about the difference between a $16.95 band and a $200 band, I finally bought the real Apple SS 42 and 38 mm. bands for me and my wife. It's ridiculously expensive, but removes all doubts.
