I thought I'd update the curious SR MBP buyers here who have been worrying about yellow tint.
Two weeks ago, I bought a 2.4 15" MBP online (my first Mac). It was a Week 25, Samsung. It had yellow tinting at the bottom, so I took it to an Apple store and exchanged it for a new one. The replacement was also a Week 25 Samsung. It had the same problem, plus a cluster of dead pixels (which I noticed a few days later). The Genius reported the problem to Engineering, let me take it home and said he'd keep in touch with me about any fixes he hears about.
A week went by and I decided I wanted to return it for good. So today I went to the same store, and talked to another Genius, and told her I'd like a refund. She acknowledged the problem and asked me if I'd like a new one, and I said only if I'd be allowed to take a look at it first. I did, and I got a Week 26 LG. It is much, much better. The yellow tint at the bottom is gone, and everything seems to be running smoothly.
This is for all you guys who haven't been able to get away from the yellow screen. There is hope!
Also: the Apple Store at Florida Mall in Orlando has amazing staff. Both Geniuses and the manager I spoke with were extremely kind, helpful and understanding.
