I've been getting this message every time I unlock since this morning. I now have no alerts for calls, texts, connect to power, etc. I know the speakers are fine because I recorded a voice memo and it played back loud and clear.

Any suggestions? I tried a hard and soft reboot, plugging and unplugging the charging cable, and restoring. I really don't want to have to take it to Apple because I know it's gonna get replaced and then I'd have to buy more screen protectors.

No, I had to replace the phone. Luckily I knew someone who worked at the Apple Store so it didn't set me back any, but it was still terrible (it was a 1-day old 3G S).

I got this one on Monday and applied my BSE yesterday. I've done it a large handful of times and never had an issue.

The usual suspect is fluff or dirt in the dock connector.

Clean / blow it out really well, and see if that helps.

Nope. Both sensors are white.

Tried this with no results. I blew it out with compressed air and there's nothing visibly jammed anywhere in there.
