For those who don't want to bother watching the video (it's a highly technical and very informative explanation of graphene - almost a promo video for it):
Researchers have created the world's first graphene semiconductor. The joke goes that graphene can do everything but leave the lab, but in the last few years, this is no longer true. In this episode we'll see how scientists turned the best conductor known to man into a semiconductor, opening the door to faster, cooler and more efficient computing.
We've been hearing about "Graphene Computer Chips" for a really long time. Researchers have been "on the cusp" the entire time, and have yet to release anything. File this in the "I'll believe it when I see it" folder.
That was the best of the 8s processors, although I still preferred the 6502 line, especially the 65802 and 65816. It feels like I've got 6502 assembly code flowing through me.
I think the entire human race would be better off if Moore’s Law came screeching to a halt. The only purpose of Moore’s Law at this point is to give manufacturers something to sell, and I don’t see the benefit they serve humankind as a whole.
