This eBay iMac Good Deal or Not?

I bought this 2000 model iMac G3 400 (w/ Tiger and 38 GB external H/D) for my daughter to surf the web and do some picture editing on eBay. $130.00 + $26.00 shipping. Can anyone tell me if it is a good deal? I am going to buy a new Mac when the Intel versions come out. I have been using PCs for 6 years now, so I'm not too up to date on Macs at all. I don't think that was that bad. For only photo editing and internet it's probably ok. At my school they run fine under 9.2. If you want multiple photo options I would choose Photoshop 7 which will work perfect, you can find it fairly cheap.

If you got the Tiger CD/DVD as well, good deal. If you didn't you'll run into trouble when you have to reboot from CD to repair the drive or reset a password.

I did find out that if it runs Tiger too painfully slow I could upgrade it to a G4 550 from FastMac for $200.00. This would make it run about three times faster. But I guess its not really worth an upgrade that costs that much.

For ~$200.00 you could buy a Power Mac G4 off of ebay (I believe that I saw a 400MHz Power Mac G4 w/ Apple CRT for ~$180 "buy it now") so I would say that its not worth the price for the new cpu. If tiger runs too slow, try installing Panther. Just my $0.02.

Or you could snatch up a nice refurbished Mac Mini. I personally like the expandability of a Power Mac G4 (cpu, ram, video card, sound card, etc...).
