It looks kind of boring from just watching the video, but it seems to be a very deep game, and it looks like it might be one of the most sophisticated games on the iPhone yet. :)

Nipz, I don't know if you just mean you can't read French or... but basically the article is about a 3D rendered adventure game called "1112" for the iPhone that is due to come out in the next couple of weeks. The game was made especially for the iPhone and is exclusive to this hardware.

The game seems to come in the form of "episodes" after the model of episodes of a TV show like Lost, and each episode is promised to provide about five hours of game play.

For what it's worth, the video is in English, so you can get the rest of the idea from there.

Very cool looking. The animation is nice...characters almost look rotoscoped.

No prob... it reminds me a little of Shenmue, although I don't know if that's more than surface. Shenmue seemed like a great game but it had a really steep curve -- it felt incredibly slow at first, and to be honest, I never delved into it.

EDIT: Here is a brief English article on the game.

Also I added the game title in parenthesis in the subject of this thread.

That looks pretty interesting, but watching the video, I was more interested in the music that was playing. I had no idea what it was, so I fired up Shazam, which identified it right away, went to iTunes, and there it is. Technology, when it works, is such a wonderful thing. In case anybody else is interested, the song is 'North Atlantic' by someone called Icebreaker International.

I bought it and gave it a play this afternoon.

It's a pretty good little point & click type adventure. Some nice interaction with characters and neat touches on some of the puzzle (you have to literally shake the iPod to stop the alarm from ringing at the start), also some multi-touch is needed to twist a combination lock etc.

The game itself isn't that long (3-5 hours worth of gameplay) once you work out the puzzles and the gameplay is largely linear in format.

There's going to be a few episodes, but if they're the same price as episode 1, I won't buy the rest. $48 for the full game (6 episodes)? Not for me....

It's a pretty fun game, very difficult for some puzzles though, like knowing what to do etc...

And they couldn't have picked a more annoying and generally terrible bit of background music for the bedroom and corridor scenes

Behind trism, this is the best game I've played on the iphone. It's a perfect fit for the iphone and has kept me entertained for hours so far. I can't wait for episode 2!
