Is it true about what he says? That this is the exact memory module used by Apple?
That is genuine Apple RAM- just copy and paste "MA369G/A" in Google. It does seem reputable- Just look at his feedback. The price seems very competitive, too- If you had the cash and needed it, then I assume that its safe. Good luck with your decision.

His feedback is certainly damned good, I am just wondering if he is rebadging Samsung's models as Apple's MA369G/A.

Then again it does raise a philosophical question, if Apple sells the Samsung module as part # MA369G/A, what is the difference between the two?

Chances are it's the original Samsung module, rather than an Apple-branded one. I don't believe that there is any difference though.

2GB Kit for $210

www.datamem.com sells a 2GB kit for the MacBook, lifetime warranty, major brand for $210. Most people in this forum agree they are a very reputable source.

The part number and bar codes allow apple to track a single part number within their system, instead of having the part number change as soon as you publish a manual.

The difference between the two is the Apple part number, and the user looking at Apple for the warranty, Crucial, etc.

It is up to these companies to get the money back from Samsung for faulty parts, however buying Apple memory from a non-Apple supply source may mean no warranty on that front -- especially if it turns out bogus.

I purchased some RAM last week and it was only yesterday they emailed me asking for another telephone number because the cell number I provided them couldn't be traced to my home address. They seem very legit in that they won't do business with you if they can't verify who you are.
