I don't have encrypted backups turned on - never have - but every single time I back it up I get a popup saying the iPad requires a password, with a cancel option, when then gives me another popup with a warning (thread title).

Is this a bug (and if so, how do I make it stop) or does iTunes just really really want people to use encrypted backups to the point of nagging?

I don't really care if my iPad doesn't store passwords or health data, etcetera, it just has a bunch of music/movies/games for road trips and the like.

Hi Brien. Do you know if you have any profiles installed on the iPad or any work emails through like an exchange server? If so, that could be the reason it's requiring an encrypted backup.
