Ok, woke up and logged into my mac, which had been connected to the internet all night but no users logged in. Opened the finder and saw this in the shared section:

(see attached)

Looks like something to do with the terminal command dns-sd? My mac does not have sharing turned on and since no users were logged in all night just wondering what could cause this to keep showing up. If I reboot it goes away. What the heck is going on here? Could this be the discoveryd bug in yosemite?

doesn't anyone know what these are...located in the finder>shared? would be nice to know.

What device (or devices) shows under the shared portion of your finder sidebar?
You may see shared devices, even if your own sharing is turned off.
That would be a listing of some shared device that your Mac sees on the network - maybe a cell phone?
