After months of deliberating and trying to make due with an old MacBook Pro that had multiple things wrong with it, I finally decided last month to order a refurbished 2018 model MBP. That was 10/24.
Today I got an email advertising the new 16 inch MBP’s. I was not happy to see it and rolled my eyes thinking how this is just so me, to have the new models come out less than a week after my 14 day return period expired.
But I know apple sometimes makes exceptions in the name of helping the customer, so I decided to try to return anyway. I backed up my stuff and formatted the MacBook Pro.
I got to the Apple Store and explained the situation. I told them up front that it was past the 14 day return window by a week and just asked if there was any way i could still return it.
They said yes without hesitation. I exchanged my MBP for the equivalent 16-inch model with twice the storage space!
