I am not a physicist but just curious, can magnets actually get weak over time?
In this attached image it states: "Several factors can weaken the magnetism in a magnet. If a magnet is stored close to heat, strong electrical currents, other magnets, or radiation, it can lose its strength. Additionally, high humidity can corrode neodymium magnets".

I'd like to focus on 'several factors can weaken ...other magnets'. So say for instance, when I have stopped charging I leave my iPhone 12 and the MagSafe charger next to each other but not attached .. so they are not 'stuck' onto each other, but they are in the vicinity of each other. There is some sort of magnetic attraction between them because they are close to each other on the same table, but not close enough to pull each other and stick together. Now, is this damaging/weakening the magnets in my iPhone or the MagSafe charger? Very weird question, but it is curiosity so if anyone has some more info on this I'd be happy to listen to it.

Magnets do weaken over time, when used, but you will not notice it during the lifetime of the phone. Maybe if you had it in 20+ years, they will have a little less strength, still working fine though, but I doubt you keep the phone that long:)

yes it weakens but it takes a long time.just dont drop it...dropping does serious damage.

Drops of what height? I tend to remove the MagSafe charger with one hand and it drops about 15-20cm on the table
15cm-20cm is okay. But better if you dont drop it at all. Dropping it from table height is dangerous. Its a magnet after all.
