I am already getting sick of this topic and I think everyone needs to stop whining. I paid $600 like everyone else and I dont expect my money back.

Does anyone else remember that last quarterly earnings call though? There was an interesting comment on why after apple went far beyond their predictions last quarter, they were still decreasing the prediction this quarter.

Their answer was something to the effect of... a new product is going to cost us.

Does this seem to make sense to anyone else? Apple planning on eating the $200 Million EXTRA in profits they just made on iPhones by issuing some sort of rebate. Or am I thinking to hard?

in a wall st interview Steve J said we were out of luck.

Remember how apple gave all of their empolyees free iphones? If they wanted to increase their market share dramatically and make people who bought iPhones a the original price happy, they could give them a free iphone (4gb or 8gb if you bought 2); Sure I would end up just giving the phone to someone who would activate it since I already have one-- But then everyone wins. Apple DOMINATES the phone market much quicker, I don't feel screwed by apple and I get to give someone a cool gift. But they are looking at selling for the "holidays" so they don't want people giving free phones to friends who might buy one direct from apple.
