Hello: ( name of tread is wrong I have 2009 4,1 mac pro)
I have read all the treads about ram in mac pro in this forum. and im still confuse.
¿Can i buy this ram? ¿is the speed correct if i upgrade to 5.1 and change processors?

I have a mac pro 2009 4.1 and im going to install new processors next month. Upate firmware to 5.1 and change to gtx750ti.

Well it's registered RAM, so you won't be able to use it in conjunction with the existing unbuffered RAM that came with your Mac Pro. If you are planning to only use this Samsung RAM (i.e. pull out all the Apple RAM), then it looks like it will work fine. But then also in the future if you ever wanted to add sticks to compliment this RAM, the future sticks will have to be registered too.

There's nothing really wrong with registered RAM, but frankly I'd just get unbuffered RAM because that's the type that comes with Mac Pros.

If you don't know how to select RAM, just use a reputable vendor that sells memory for Mac Pro, like so:
