I swear for about 2-3 years this bug occurs where very intermittently the rounded corners of notifications will be sharp and rectangular. It also occurs on my iPad. I’ve transferred phones, started from scratch, and none of it fixes it. I’ve also reported to Apple feedback for the same amount of time.

I’m attaching a screenshot of the location of what I mean, but I think that crazier than the bug, it’s the fact I’ve been trying to screenshot this bug for that length of time and I’ve literally never been able to 😭 🤣 it just happens too fast.

Welcome to the club. Been going since 15/16 if memory serves. It's the most annoying bug and they still won't fix it. To me, that would be priority. It's an eyesore on an otherwise decent OS.

You get my sentiments exactly

I rarely get this bug but I’ve noticed it happens if I happen to wake my iPhone up just as a text is coming through.

I’m more annoyed by the fact that parallax is still broken and when badge icons disappear the animation acts all glitchy.

It happens 100% of the time for me if my phone is sitting on my table "sleeping" and notifications come in and I go to look at my phone after a period of time 15+ minutes, it's there. Notifications show up squared off for 2-3 seconds and revert back to rounded. Lately though, they stay squared off until I slide up to unlock.

Yeah I can attest this is usually when it’ll reproduce on my phone

The thing that used to be mentioned all the time when referring to Apple -- "attention to detail" -- is no longer their own ideal that they try to live up to no matter what. Something like this, and it seems like a hundred other "little" things, will not make most people choose Apple just because it's fixed, and will not make most people abandon Apple just because it is not fixed. So it's not a priority.

And then these things accumulate. And then new versions and deadlines need to be met. And then...a decade or more has passed and it is still not fixed -- e.g. iCloud tabs, bookmark sync, which a new thread on here just this week has brought up. That's a decade+ issue.

Another reason for complacency is that you have Apple users defending Apple: "Are you an Apple engineer? Do you know how difficult it is to fix bugs? Are you Tim Cook? Do you run a trillion dollar company? First world problems, lol!" It's amazing that customers will defend a company against themselves.

It very rarely happens to me, usually when I use sleep focus. For a long time I didn't know what people were talking about when they brought it up. There might be something obscure causing it to occur with varying frequency, could be why it hasn't been fixed.

I use this focus a lot, I wonder if there is a correlation
