Just saw a review on this phone and looked it up, and it sells for $199.

It has some pretty nice specs for that price, and I was thinking of grabbing it as a throwaway phone to have in the bedside dresser.

Anyone know what AT&T bands it would use? I can never figure out what works with what. In the description it says:

Band 2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
3G: WCDMA 850/2100MHz

Which makes it seem like it would work with 3g and 4g, and I thought 2100 was LTE? What do you guys think?

Wow just saw a 6.5" alternative for $349.

AT&T uses 850 MHz and 1900 MHz.

So I'm unsure whether it will support UMTS on AT&T as I'm not sure how AT&T handles downstream and upstream communications (I believe T-Mobile US uses 1700 MHz for uplink and 2100 MHz for downlink?)

I believe it would work in areas with 850MHz 3G available and revert to 2G in a 1900MHz area.

I guess it should but the phone does have a weird selection of bands. It's usually 900/2100 or 850/900/1900/2100. 850/2100 is unheard of.

Honestly, these prices seem a little too good to be true. There has got to be something sketchy about it. Proceed with caution.

They are getting great reviews all over the internet. The only caveat seems to be the frequencies, also some of the extras they don't seem to have like gorilla glass, etc.
