I ordered mine through my university's apple store / computer store on October 23rd, when the new Mac Mini's were announced. They usually just purchase it like everyone else on the website.
It's a custom build, with the 2.6 quad i7, 8gb of ram, and the 1tb fusion drive. This is probably why it will take longer than usual for it to come in.
Although I am kind of on a time crunch with some computing, and simple final cut editing needs. When is it likely for custom builds of the mac mini to ship through?
