Hello

Can people explain to me what they upgraded from and how the new model feels and is after the first use or couple of hours.

As I am skeptical and waiting for the 14 :p as it was not a "major" change but can people elaborate on the device or see what "people" are missing out on.

:p

iPhone 6s Plus to 13 Pro Max. It’s as big of a leap as it sounds. The display alone is a massive upgrade, and ProMotion is noticeable, at least for me.

“Haptic Touch” is definitely inferior to 3D Touch though, so far that’s the only thing which is disappointing.

From 7 Plus to 13 Pro. Big jump for me as I've been unable to use any OLED iphone since the X due to PWM. This is the first new iphone I've been able to use for years without eye strain.

Pro's:
120hz is v.nice
Speakers are excellent
It's very fast and doesn't exhibit the same bugs as my 7 Plus.

Cons:
It's heavier than the 7 Plus.
Camera module size is ridiculous.
Display is more yellow/red/warm than I'd like.
It runs very warm in my hand - maybe it's just the glass back?

Good. Instead of useless bloatware, Apple took a solid foundation (iPhone 12) and made it better with solid iterative improvements: better screen, better silicon, better camera, better battery, better storage. GOOD. This is what we want: rock-solid cellphones with meaningful improvements, not janky-ass “innovation“ merely for “change.”

The S-model phones are always the best.

The display 'warmness' is likely the True Tone setting that your 7+ did not have (Settings > Display & Brightness > True Tone)

For what it’s worth, you can long press on the space bar to move the text cursor around. Not quite as easy as hard pressing the keyboard, but honestly, that was about the only thing I used 3D Touch for and I didn’t realize that you could long press on the space bar for the same effect for a little while.
