Hi everyone, I'm a high school senior currently developing an Android app. I know this isn't the android forum but I figured the expertise here could help me out a bit.

First, I'd like to hear what you think of my app's site. It's at www.SpydyContacts.com

Second, I'd like to get some feedback on a bunch of different logos and tell me why you prefer the one you do (if possible). These are attached to this post. The gradient can go either way (top left to bottom right or vice versa)

Once again I have no experience in this sort of matter (I am probably going to MIT where I will continue this learning experience) and any advice is welcome, but please remember this is Android and not iOS (which will be coming in the future).

Thank you MacRumors Community!

Well first problem is that Websense flags the site as "Potentially Damaging Content."

All I can think of is Skype. Have you thought about another color?

It seems like you're pretty much just tweaking one concept here, I get where it's coming from but I'm curious if you've explored any other ideas?

As per the logos themselves, none of them really have a great type choice IMO. for something like this I'd probably look at a really clean, simple sans.

Messing around in photoshop when I really should learn Illustrator by now... just an idea
Font is Raleway Light

I too agree with this. Blue S is generally skype territory. I see thats what your site is designed in, but other colors might be an option. It would certainly help differentiate you from Skype.

My first thought is your product is called Spydy Contacts, yet the elements in your logo aren't in contact at all. Since contact is the function of your app, you need a logo that conveys connection.

As for the website, I have just one suggestion.

The style of your site, with text links on top linking to separate pages is a bit dated. The latest trend is to create a single page that you scroll for content. While it can be argued that you shouldn't necessarily follow trends, I think it can hurt your brand if it looks like you're behind the times.

Also, in your app itself, at least in the screenshots, it puts the person's name right over their face, which is extremely unsettling. The picture shouldn't be there if I can't look at it.

Put the name below, or dim or blur the photo while leaving the name in the same place, or something.

I also agree with the logo remarks. Connect the dots somehow.

I'd have to agree with citizenzen. 12dylan34 also brings up some very very good points. Good onya for doing this though man. You starting at such an early age is a beautiful thing.

I'm not the OP, but I'm assuming this is kind if like CSS3 transitions and stuff? Heck, I'd actually be willing to help the OP work on a website, just to get a handle on the CSS3 transformations and stuff, as a fellow high school student.

I did notice that you already have a mobile site done. Looks good IMO, a tad bit lacking for content in the middle for my taste, but what do I know about web design?

Well the user has 3 options, either have purely the picture for the contacts displayed, the picture and the name as seen in the screenshots, or just the name over a blue bubble (similar to the center group bubble). So the user is not just pigeonholed into a single view, there are options.

Everything looks fine there in attachment. All the problem is with S (Skype identity) you should amend it in some other distinctive style!
