I would like to start a discussion on this topic, and see what views are out there.
The question i am asking, is what are your thoughts on the way apple releases its products.
Let me give you some examples and maybe you can brainstorm, comment and help me out on this!
For example, blu-ray drives have been available, why do you think apple is not using it, could it be because of itunes and apple tv?
also, other companies refresh their casing annually. Why do you think apple keeps the same design every year for a long time. When a new imac/macbook processor is updated, its kind of funny to see the same picture over and over again. I dont expect companies to update a computer each and everytime, but a 4-5 years is a little much. Even little things such as adding a magnetic lid to the mbp like the macbook, in an update, between serious case redesigns, just little things, like they do with ipods every year. You cant tell a macbook 2006 model from a mabook 2008 model.
Also apple used to have many colors before, why do you think they stopped this?
These are just my thoughts, please no flamming, i would just love to hear opinions, likes, dislikes, recommendations.
I love apple, i just want to encourage discussions to see what others are thinking!
