I can’t afford the Matebook Pro sadly, but was wondering how this Matebook D 14 would be?

I do light photoshop and indesign work, and use a lot of web apps.

Also occasionally like to play some games.

Any thoughts on this Huawei?

For me, screen size (14") and resolution are the show stoppers. On paper it looks like a nice small thin ultrabook type machine with lots of features for a low price.

I have it. Used to switch from a 2013 Macbook Air.
Great purchase all around. Absurdly good build quality, trackpad and keyboard for the price, which were the reasons for me to use Mac.
