Regarding education pricing: Not long ago, Apple had a sales promotion wherein, if one purchased a new Apple product for education use, one would get the education discount and and a credit that could be applied to a future purchase.
Those of you who follow all these things much more closely than I do, would you say that there is a chance, now that he holidays are behind us and a new semester is soon to arrive, that Apple will have a similar promotion again soon?
Thank you in advance for your replies.

If they did, it would be the first time in my memory. They've only ever run at most two promotions in a year: Back-to-school starting in late summer and the "Apple Shopping Event" for the Black Friday weekend.

Best pricing for you would be Education discount or finding something on the refurbished store.

Thank you very much for your reply.
I need to update soon, and I don't want to add to any possible buyer's remorse a sense of having been a fool for not having waited a few more days or a wekk, et cetera.
Thanks again.

As stated in the earlier post Apple generally only does the best promotions at the start of a new school year (not semester), and for the holidays. There are also some deals and promotions around the WDC in early summer. The education discount is available year round. I would watch the refurbished prices at Apple or other store as generally deals do pop-up in late Jan/Feb with people swapping out holiday gifts.

As others have said, very unlikely.

But as Apple will likely introduce new MacBook Air soon, with M3, the M2 versions will after that start to show up for sales on Amazon, Best Buy, etc., as well as flooding the Refurb Store.
