Threading emails in Mail

Is there anyway to thread emails from senders rather than by subject? I think that is kinda silly and is not effective for me. Just thought I would ask

Running Mail 2.0.5 and OSX 10.4.4

If you pick Organize by Thread and then click on the From column header, does that give you what you want?

negative. it just sorts them by name.

Okay, then maybe what you're looking for isn't really threading. Threading in mail is a very specific thing, it's a grouping of messages that have common References or In-Reply-To headers. Mail cheats a bit and also groups by Subject, to account for mail that lacks those headers.

If you're looking for grouping by other headers such as From, no, Apple mail doesn't do that. Thunderbird and Eudora can.
