Three generations of iMacs (pics)

Just got my 20" today. Here are pics with all three iMacs.

And also, next year marks the 9th anniversary of these machines. The first iMac came out in 1998.

Looks good. The original iMac looks so 2000 The G4 looks like it still could be a computer you went out and bought today. Love that design.

But wait would an iMac G5 and iMac G5 + iSight be 2 generations?

Oh I give up. Nice machine that Core 2 Duo.

Not to mention that the slot load is 1999ish or maybe even 2000.

I don't feel like looking it up right now.

Yeah, yeah guys...my "generations" are on the major design/form factor changes. While the insides of the C2D and G5 iMacs are very different the outsides are not...

And yes, that is an iMac DV with firewire, slot loading DVD drive, 400mhz G3, etc, etc.

Nice I also got a iMac G3 SE DV 400Mhz, iMac G4 15 Mhz, and a new iMac C2D 20".

Im still using the iMac G4, my bro is using the iMac C2D.

yea...the display on the arm iMac...I loved those things. I wish they would've stuck with that design.

lol! sure does...the G3 belongs to my 5 year old son. It's hard for kids to resist touching the screen.

Agreed, I love mine. I'd really like to see FW800 on all models. Oh and I'd absolutely LOVE to see video input via VGA/DVI in. I know I'm dreaming _but_ the iMac C2D display is just so nice!
