Kind of a late start here in these forums.

I'm developing a native Poker Texas Hold'em game for the iPhone/iPod touch since one month, whenever I can spare some free time.

I've come quite far in that time and am now already at the verge of the first closed beta test.

Please have a look at the projects web pages: http://thtouch.leberwurstsaft.de

------------------
For serious applications send me an email to the contact address as seen on the projects webpages.
Please include your name, your references in beta testing, which iPhone/iPod communities you're active in. I'll then review all applicants and decide, who will be in the first round of testing this game.

Please give me 2-3 days to answer your mails - I'm really busy atm.

P.S.: new video footage will follow tonight - since the last one is already almost 2 weeks old

I just downloaded the latest ver 3.0j or something like that. This is an awesome app so far. I cant wait for the finished version.

One suggestion I have is I wish there was an instructions screen. The swipes are self explainatory w/ the "?" in the corner, but it took me 15 mins to figure out how to check was to double tap the screen.

I'm a big fan of this app. Something I would like is the option to clear my bet if I accidentally hit the wrong chip (if this is possible I don't know how to do it).

I'm loving it, and with 0.3j, it hasn't crashed once. The only problem I see is with all-ins, where if I bet $1000 all in, and a computer player goes all in with only $500, he gets all $1000 of my money if he wins, and I don't get my $500 back! I guess side pots aren't really working yet.

To clear your bet, just swipe down once (and once more to even close the betting dialog)

@sheepnutz: correct, side pots are not yet included with 0.30j, I'm working on them as well as new controls for the game, as not everyone was able to pick them up easily...

There's another bug I've noticed. This only happens to me when the number of players is <5, but sometimes it deals my cards to funky parts of the screen, and I can't see what my cards are!

Keep the existing controls, they work perfectly.
Not everyone was meant to play this game. haha

Hey there,

I just wanted to let you know, that we reached the first donation goal yesterday! I'll order the mac in about 9 hours from now, hoping it arrives quickly.

I setup the next donation goal, which is a fair bit lower and shall help me with paying the rent and buying some food for july. Thanks to everbody so far! This will get most exciting now, as I'll be finally getting my hands on the right development tools.

Cheers and good night for tonight!

whoops. this forum hasn't got any updates in 3 months

anyway, to make it short: it's finished as of tonight.

(only showing essential screens, there is much more to it, of course)

Looks good. Quick question for you, on the "All In" screen it still shows the "John Doe wins xxx" and "Gene wins xxx". That was a common complaint from the last release in Installer. That "xxx wins xxx" msg should be gone after each hand is finished.

No, this stays there, since it is a log of the whole game.
