I think this approach is the future. Specialized modular computing, put on devices that can be plugged into your current systems. It's like having an external discrete graphics card, except in this case, it's for computer vision. I'd love to have a set of plug and play thumb PCs for gaming, computer vision, VPN/Tor, various servers, graphics, etc. that cost about $100 or less that I could take from computer to computer as needed. Add in a dock and your main computing device, whether an iPad or retina MacBook, could be scaled up as needed.
