I’m running Thunderbird version 52.1.0. I have it set up with my Gmail account. I’ve installed a few extensions. But the power consumption remains the same regardless of whether or not those extensions are enabled. At best, it will hover around 20% CPU consumption, but it often spikes to 100% or higher (I don’t know how).

Is there a solution to this?

Update: I figured it out. You just have to disable the Global Search and Indexer in Preferences.
