Does anyone know of a useful Thunderbolt 3 dock, that has an integrated PSU?

I'm getting really fed up (every time I take my laptop anywhere) with having to plug the PSU into the wall, then the PSU into the dock, and then the dock into the Macbook. It's a pain in the arse.

I just want something that I plug into the wall for power, then into the Macbook to connect it. Two cables and done.

Does anyone know of anything that would fit the bill?

When travelling, why not just use a bus-powered dock and the power pack? I don't need 9 ports when out of the house and have a 2 HDMI, Ethernet, 2 USB version which is great. I would be even better if the power cable also went into this device, but that is a moot point since the re-introduction of MagSafe power connections.

Because the laptop is used for data wrangling, and I can’t afford to lose one of the TB3 ports to just a power supply.

That looks like a hard ask – I have never seen one with a direct mains connection - perhaps look at some of the PC manufacturers options?

this is a little bit silly, isn’t it? 🤓 use what you have, but just do not disconnect the cables when travelling… take the whole thing with you… or a “clone” of your whole setup… done.

nota bene: unraveling the cables will - just in case - probably easier than with fixed cables. 😎

There’s too much risk of the cables/connection ports getting damaged if left plugged in.

I’ve already lost one TB3 cable this way.
