Hi all

I've just bought a new Macbook Pro (Thunderbolt 3) to replace my Mac Pro cheesegrater.

I have a 3.5 HDD (Seagate Barracuda) and a 2.5 SSD (Samsung 850 EVO) that I'd like to put in TB3 caddies and use as external drives with my new Macbook Pro.

I have never mounted a drive in a caddy before, so any advice would be really appreciated.

I do need speed and reliability as I work in a recording studio, however I would like to keep it cheap as possible having just shelled out for a new mac!

Thank you in advance

Alex

Those are both SATA interface drives, so spending a lot of money for TB3 enclosures will not really give you much if any benefit over a good USB3 UASP enclosure like the one @Kris Kelvin linked there. That's what I would go with.
