Has anyone got this WAVLINK Thunderbolt 3 M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure
in the video and the reviews on Amazon, people say it keeps on disconnecting when the computer goes into sleep mode and they get the beach ball. But they say it only happens sometimes
I am thinking about this one
I will be using Adata XPG SX8200

I appreciate what you're doing, and I did similar with my MPB - I replaced the onboard SSD with an Adata XPG SX8200 (non-pro) 1TB - it's a great drive and the Pro drives are even better.

However yes this is the wrong forum. Post this in the iMac forum.

Finally, if cost is an issue maybe try using a USB3-NVME enclosure instead? Much cheaper (try to get a metal one because of heat). High random small-file transfer speeds are what makes Finder feel snappy, and even modern NVME drives only get up to about 50-150MB/sec with 4k random, which is easy for USB3 to deal with. Still better than a SATA SSD though.

I thought it was, Cost not going for the cheaper Wav one as I see from the comments under the video. I get your point. I have ordered the 2019base modal 5k iMac not sure that it will come as the place where I ordered it just charged me the delivery charge? that was five days ago? I find it weird that they just charged for delivery and not the item? I will get in touch with them to see what is going on and properly cancel the order. And get the older one on eBay with the SSD drive I will just see what they have to say. Update I have canceled the Imac I would not recommend the company, I spoke to a guy who was working upstairs of the shop to check if the one in there they did, I told him I wanted to cancel the order, he said someone would phone me back to confirm it no one did. What a way to run a company.
