Thunderbolt AIC for Xserve?

There's stuff brewing at egpu.io that some Xserve enthusiasts here might be interested in. Gigabyte's latest Titan Ridge Thunderbolt 3 PCIe card is bringing new capabilities to motherboards without a TB header.

There was little interest here, but it's working on cMP. I don't see why it wouldn't work on Xserve. More info at egpu.io:

Doesn't this (currently) require booting into Windows to get Thunderbolt working? I think only @LightBulbFun has gotten this working (to my limited knowledge).

With the uptimes I get on MacOS servers, I'd be willing to put up with the occasional reboot for experimental stuff. Once that is sorted, I'll probably upgrade some of my Xserves to accommodate LaCie 8Bigs (already owned so little $ spent). Loving this.
