You need support from the chipset for thunderbolt to work and none of the cMP chipset has support for it.

I'm willing to sell my branded PCIe Thunderbolt expansion card for just 500 bucks.

I think I can start profiting on this.

In all honesty, if you have a cMP, there should be little to no need for thunderbolt technology since you have readily available PCIe expansion slots. USB3/eSata are good external drive options if you need speed.

Link your branded PCIe Thunderbolt expansion card if such a thing exist, unless you are talking about Thunderbolt expansion box which aren't the same thing. To my knowledge and with a quick google search I don't find any info on an Apple branded TB card to give TB port to the cMP... Of course we're April 1st, so I'm not believing anything unless I see it myself today.
