Hello everyone,
I have a MacBook pro 13inch mid 2012 and I been trying to use the thunderbolt figure on my laptop. I recently purchased a Lacie 4tb hard-drive that comes with a usb 3.0 micro input. How can I connect to my hard-drive and then to the thunderbolt input on my laptop?

Well I want to do micro usb to thunderbolt for my laptop.

If your LaCie drive has a USB 3.0 micro connector, then your LaCie connects to a USB 3.0 port on your MBPro.
It's USB, not Thunderbolt.

O ok I guess i'll just order one for my laptop thank you.

What USB cables came in the box with your LaCie?
Should at least be a micro USB 3.0 to USB A - which would be exactly what you would use with your 2012 MBPro.
Are you wanting a longer cable?

It came with micro USB 3.0 to USB A the usb 3.0 connects to the harddrive but I dont have a slot where to connect the usb a on my laptop.

Your laptop has USB-A. Do you mean you're using those for something else?

Don't worry about Thunderbolt, it won't do you any good in this application, and any Thunderbolt to USB adapters or docks will be prohibitively expensive.
