Thunderbolt Mac to Composite Tv

First let me just say Sorry if this is in the wrong thread.
I have a thunderbolt macbook air and wanted to connect it to my tv. The obvious solution is to get a min DP to hdmi but my older tv only has a composite connection.
I was told from when I was trying to figure out the best way to connect my iPod to my tv that adapters connected to adapters (i.e. 30 pin to hdmi > hdmi to composite) were not an ideal solution.
I know to some composite is horrible but honestly in my opinion it is fine.
So if anyone could figure out a solution to connecting my thunderbolt equipped mac to an older tv and provide links, it would be appreciated!
bonus: giving the links to the stuff on DX!

Modern Macs cannot output to composite, yellow, video. They just cannot generate the correct signal. You need a converter, not an adapter.

Anyway, you get an MDP to VGA adapter and then get a VGA to Composite adapter/converter.

BTW DX is short for deal extreme, a website that sells fake electronics.

How much is a converter? Where could i get one?
