I have a 2009 Mini with mini display port to display port cable hooked up to my 30" Dell monitor - what do I do with a new Mini? Hdmi is only up to 1920x1200, so I need to use Thunderbolt, but have not seen an appropriate adapter on Apples store. Please enlighten me.
My screen also accepts hdmi and dvi (I think up to 2560x1600).

Indeed you can connect your DisplayPort monitor to your new computer ThunderBolt port.

If you ever buy a ThunderBolt device (RAID storage, a TB Display) then you connect the TB(s) devices to the computer and the DisplayPort monitor at the end of the chain.

To help put the endcap on this; from Apple's 2011 Mac Mini webpage:

"And since Thunderbolt is based on DisplayPort technology, your Mini DisplayPort devices plug right in, too."

Looking forward to this new Mac Mini, specs look great.
