How did you get apple to replace it for you?
Will they transfer everything from the harddrive onto the new Mac?
Will they offer upgrade options such as video card? (HP does)
Thanks!
I told them the problems.. noisy tickin fan, faulty Airport and dead pixels. And i made it clear for them that i'm not satisfied to send a 7 days old computer for repairs. Then it's not new anymore!
I'm afraid they won't transfer anything. A delivery service will pick the faulty one up, and then apple will send you a new one.
Apple won't offer you a better video card. They have no reason to.
To get that you have to pay another 70$ and wait at least one week longer.
To be frank with you. The past 4 weeks i have experiencec such annoying issues with the new iMacs i have recieved, so when the latest one had a faulty Airport, i just got tired and angry of waiting for a proper machine to come up, so i demanded applestore for a total refund, which i got.
I'm still going to buy an iMac, but this time at my local computerstore. If anything fails the critical first 30 days, the only thing i have to do is to have it exchanged emediately.
My experiences with apple support (in europe) is great thou.. Good service, good customer care, generous behaviours when it comes to warranty, replacements, and also no customer related wars against refunds, if the customers just ain't satisfied with their products.
