Apple.com/ca/ ?

(Just Apple Canada)

That would seem to be the logical place to get it.

Amazon.ca or tigerdirect.ca , too

Search before you ask.

If the last few years are anything to go by iLife '06 will be out at the January Macworld Expo in San Francisco.

What Mac do you have?

I was more interested in people who have had good experience getting it off of ebay etc. just because money is really tight. Is it worth the risk?

Unless the seller says it's on DVD-Rs or something, I would have to say you'll be okay.

Unlike hardware, it will be pretty easy to determine whether or not it's "broken" once you get it.

Buying Tiger through eBay, you can only assume that the original owner has uninstalled his/her copy. If they haven't, it won't affect you at all and you'll be blissfully ignorant.

Basically, if you can find a good deal, go for it!

I would check an apple reseller on the apple site. I've always got an apple from one of these guys in the past a most of the time they are a lot better than the guys in apple stores in canada. It's worth a try. I know a bunch of guys in the Toronto area, but obviously it's no help to you. Use the reseller option on the apple site to narrow it down and go from there. You won't be disappointed. The little guy makes up in service and price where the big guy lacks.
