I love Tiger's slideshow and index sheet features. The full-screen view and black background make for a very pleasant viewing experience.
I have a put a portfolio together of my personal artworkpaintings, drawings, monotype prints, etc. for grad school review. The school requires that the CD I send them be mac-formatted, so I am deducing that Tiger's slideshow may be used (I want to have all the bases covered).
The image sizes vary greatly, ranging from 992KB183.2MB each...480x640 all the way up to 9,740x4,928 pixels. I select all the images and ctrl-click to choose slideshow. I like what I see. 10.4 handles them well and they look beautiful.
Then, it advances to one particular image and comes up all black with a tiny white dot in the upper portion of the screen. For some reason this specific image will not load in slideshow. When clicking "index sheet" it is absent as well. There is a black space held for the file, but no image.
All files are .tif and .jpg. I've tried several things, including renaming the problematic file, burning to CD, opening in Preview and Photoshop (which both work) resizing the image smaller, opening it from different locations, and re-saving.
Nothing. All the other images in the portfolio, including similarly large sized files, work beautifully in Slideshow and the index sheet. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Is there a method to set Slideshow preferences?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
